I cannot say I witnessed this firsthand, but a friend of mine was in this class and this is her story:
During a class at CMC, the professor (who openly dislikes the US government and policies) was asked by a student, "What, then, do you think was the best decision made by the US?" The professor responded effortlessly that the best decision made by the US in history was bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki "since it ended WWII." She continued with the rest of the class like she said nothing insensitive or inhumane whatsoever.
